We thought that out of architecture school, we would go into the working world at big-name firms and never look back. Instead, we found that our skills made us invaluable in any number of roles. We could do everything we loved, and get paid really well.

Our backgrounds in design have taken us many places: material and technology innovation at Adidas, leading design thinking courses at several prestigious academic institutions from the United States to India, business development and design-strategy consulting for various technology start-ups and VC’s in New York City. Not to mention, we've built our fair share of award-winning buildings.

Out of Architecture started with 1-on-1 career consulting, and has grown to become a career resources network spanning media, content, a large community, and more. Wherever you are at in your design career journey, you’ll fit in with us.

  • 1-on-1 consulting is how we started out, and it’s still the most personalized way to go. After matching with an advisor from our team, you’ll set goals, get the resources and tools you need to find a new role inside of or beyond your current career, and have all the support and guidance you need along the way.

  • We have lots of resources for students, including our core consulting services at a discount. You can learn more about our advisors that work with students and recent grads here.

We treat pricing the same way we treat our clients, with openness and transparency first.

We create a customized package for each new client based on where you are in the search process and how deeply you’d like to engage with us.

Below are our current rates and typical pricing for some of the various services we offer.

Price shouldn’t be a barrier to your success.

We want to meet you. Our jobs revolve around connecting with incredible talent all around the world, and having the power to steer you toward your goals. Introduce yourself, and learn about us and how we can work together.

We also offer a low-cost Introductory Call for need-based clients. To note: we do charge a fee for no-shows (we value our time just as you should value yours).

The Career Consulting Package is a 3-month engagement covering the core work to help you progress in your transition. The fee covers 4 hours of work with you and your advisor, and is typically separated into 2 hours of calls (2-3 meetings) and 2 hours of asynchronous support. That time can be used for corresponding via email, answering questions, making introductions, supporting with role search, etc.

You will start with a 1 hour Onboarding call, then your advisor will likely suggest adjustments to this split based on your goals, events during your search and the most convenient ways of connecting.

Additional services offered as needed at the standard rate of $250/hr, see below.

We want everyone to get the most out of their next role. Salary negotiation is a must for almost any new offer and we help position your ask based on your unique value. Salary, bonuses, options packages, moving expenses, and other elements are discussed.

We only charge based on the increase in the offer, so you only pay for this service if we can help you get a better offer.
